The handheld unit is water-resistant to IPX7 and is powered with a long-lasting Lithium-ion battery pack (supplied) that’s rechargeable in the unit.

Water Rating

Non-aviation products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. Within this period, Garmin Australasia will, at its sole option, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use.
